So I got a really nasty anonymous review on one of my fics.
It says: “I’ll assume you’re american. The chance of finding a 65 floor building in paris is basically zero. And we say lift, not elevator.”
Okay, first of all, I never said the building had sixty-five floors. In the story, John says “we’re on the top floor,” meaning the sixth floor.
As I put effort into my work (unlike YOU), I researched this hotel and, yes, it does have six floors.
So, what might we deduce about you?
I’ll assume you’re an illiterate asshole.
I have to give you credit for one thing, fuckweasel.
The comment about “lift” being used rather than “elevator” is helpful, and it will be noted + changed. I just wish it were in a more polite context.
In case you didn’t know, I updated this story at around 3 AM. So, I believe, since I was exhausted, that it’s only human that I made one mistake.
I only updated the story since I was so excited to see some sort of positive reaction from my amazing, loyal readers.
After a particularly tough day I pull up my fanfiction.net account to see THIS SHIT?
Uh, no.
Do your fucking research, Anderson, before you insult something I put a lot of effort into.
To say nothing positive is one thing, but to take it a step further and insult something that wasn’t even fucking in my story? That’s too god damn far.

So I received an anonymous prompt on tumblr which read: “the holmes, John and Lestarde Take a holiday in France. Can be slashy (VERY slashy) or not :)“
Then I was inspired by a John x Lestrade fic I read and (surprisingly) REALLY enjoyed (link) to turn this prompt into an OT3 of sorts.
So, as the fic progresses, it could grow to be rather long if enough people jump on my John x Lestrade x Sherlock bandwagon, or it could just be a few short chapters.
